DESCRIPTION:
A white, semi-solid material having a characteristic fatty odor. Clear, almost colorless to amber liquid above 50 ° C.
MELTING POINT: 52 ° C
SPECIFIC GRAVITY: 0.861 @ 20 ° C
ACID VALUE: 208-212 range. SOLUBILITY IN WATER: < 0.1 %

ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS:
INHALATION:
Unlikely to occur due to the physical properties of the product. However, if vapors are generated,
irritation to mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract with sore throat and coughing may occur.

SKIN CONTACT: Repeated or prolonged excessive exposure may cause irritation or dermatitis.

EYE CONTACT: May cause significant irritation with pain, burns and corneal opacity. May cause irreversible damage.

INGESTION: May cause sore throat, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

CHRONIC HEALTH EFFECTS: None known.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY RECOGNIZED AS BEING AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: Persons with pre-existing skin disorders.

5.REACTIVITY

REACTIVITY
- Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.
INCOMPATIBILITIES: Strong oxidizers, bases, reducing agents, metals.
DECOMPOSITION
Thermal decomposition may release acrid smoke and irritating fumes. Hazardous decompositionproducts may include carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
POLYMERIZATION
Hazardous polymerization has not been reported to occur under normal temperatures andpressures.
