Dipping bottles are used in many different fields for collecting liquids. Bü rkle produces by far the widest range of dipping bottles – the right product for each application.

Buerkle offers dipping bottles for sediments, for environmental samples, for chemically aggressive products, for petrochemicals, for Ex-proof applications. Dipping bottles for Ex-proof applications are made from brass with a high-quality nickel plating, so they do not oxidize.

Dipping bottles can be used for point sampling, cross-sectional sampling and bottom sampling.

Dipping bottles are heavy. Lowering requires the use of special manually-operated reels with a large winding diameter. Other manually-operated reels place too much strain on the user‘ s wrist and could represent a health hazard. Lowering cables and chains made from different materials as well as manually-operated reels, also for Ex-proof applications are available as accessories.

Immersion cylinder for sampling crude oil, liquid mineral oil products, fuels, special and test benzine, fuel oils, kerosene and liquid lubricants of hazard classes IIA and IIB ( VbF) . Completely made of non-spark-producing nickel-plated brass.
Operation

Point sampling

1. Two cables are required ( lowering cable and pulling cable) .
2. Lower immersion cylinder to required depth.
3. At required depth, jerk the pulling cable to open the valve.
4. The sample flows into the cylinder.
5. Release pulling cable to close valve. Raise cylinder with lowering cable.
6. Empty the cylinder via the base valve.

Bottom sampling

1. Lower cylinder with lowering cable until it hits the bottom.
2. The weight of the cylinder opens the valve.
3. The sample flows into the cylinder.
4. Raise cylinder with lowering cable, the valve closes automatically.
5. Empty the cylinder via the base valve.

Observe Ex-proof guidelines when sampling flammable liquids. Only use conductive lowering cables made of nonspark-producing material and conductive hand reels with grounding connection.
