DAY 1, DRIVE TO WONOKERTO VILAGE
Depart from your hotel in Kuta at 08.00, drive West through Bali Barat National Park. Arrival at Gilimanuk harbour at approximately 11.20. Wait for the ferry (15 minutes in normal traffic). It should take 30 – 70 minutes to get to Ketapang harbour. Set your watch 1 hour back and…… bienvenue â Java!
Heading North-West, we will have lunch at a local restaurant in Banyuwangi. Your English speaking guide knows some restaurants on the way that won’t give you the Bali.. oups- Java belly! Continue to Bromo.
Drive North to the direction of Bromo. Check in at the hotel around 17.30. After dinner, it is advisable to go to sleep early to catch the 03.30 Jeep to Mount Penanjakan.

DAY 2, Mt BROMO
SUNRISE AT MOUNT PANANJAKAN, WITNESSING THE
BREATH-TAKING VIEW OF MOUNT BROMO AND THE SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS AND A SHORT WALK AROUND THE RIM OF THE CRATER

Get up at 3.45. Your experienced 4 wheel jeep driver will take you to Mount Penanjakan through a bumpy and steepy road. Near the parking lot, you had better choose a strategic place to see the sunrise, the place is normally packed with tourists in dry season. It is one of the most spectacular sceneries in Indonesia!
Driving back to Mount Bromo, you may tell the driver to stop at a convenient place to take more pictures.
Walk towards the foot of the volcano (700 m), a lot of horse masters will offer you to ride on their horses. It is fun, unless you feel sorry for those little animals carrying tourists every day!
It is time to ‘climb’ the volcano through the “stairway to heaven�. When you are at the top (at the rim of the crater), make sure you are not too close to the smoke as it may cause dizziness. It can be dangerous in windy weather.

Back to the hotel, have a nice breakfast at the restaurant. Check out from hotel and proceed to the hidden paradise Madakaripura waterfall. You may continue to your next destination or drive back to Bali. End of the trip.
