Screw-on fuel filters
Hengst screw-on fuel filters are used in Diesel engines of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery and construction equipment. This filter is a self-contained component consisting of a sheet-metal housing and filter insert that has a number of intake ports for the unfiltered fuel. The outlet port for the filtered fuel is threaded and is also used to screw the filter to the filter base.

Variants of this filter are, on one hand, a high-pressure screw-on fuel filter for modern engines with very demanding requirements and a screw-on fuel filter with a water reservoir. In this variant, an electronic conductivity sensor indicates accumulated water which can be eliminated by means of a drain plug.
