Recommendations for cleaning stainless steel:

Do not expose stainless steel to bleach or bleaching soda as these are corrosive to it ( if used in highly concentrated form) , or to hard or salty water; if this happens, wash off with plenty of water and dry the surface with a soft cloth.

Use a little warm white vinegar on persistent stains.

The use of nylon fibre sponges or brushes is recommended.
