    DaTAQ-Pro, together with the integrated DigiC Real-Time Digital Control System,
    provides an excellent solution for data acquisition and control in the engine,
    dynamometer and other testing environments.

    DaTAQ-Pro is a Microsoft Windows⢠2000/XP based application designed for ease of-use by test bed operators. The heart of the design philosophy for DaTAQ-Pro has always been to produce a test system that can be learned quickly yet provides the
    user with a flexible and open system.

    The intelligent distributed I/O System utilised by DaTAQ-Pro, provides for easy installation and support. The I/O Modules include such things as on-board thermocouple linearisation and cold-junction compensation.

    Some of the features provided by the DigiC Real-Time Control System:-

    Ã Manual and automatic control of dynamometer and throttle in such modes as :-
    o Speed mode.
    o Torque mode.
    o Position mode.

    Ã Fully digital PID control system with bumpless switching from any mode to any mode, including from Automatic Control to Manual Control.

    Ã PIDs typically run within the DigiC System at 100Hz, though higher rates of up to 1kHz are supported.

    Ã Multiple PIDs are stored so that each Engine-Dynamometer mix can have its own set of PID terms.

    Some of the features and options available for DaTAQ-Pro (Data Acquisition and
    Control System):-

    Ã Standard I/O System support for up to 256 voltage/temperature input channels at 2Hz and 256 voltage input channels at up to 4kHz gap free (1kHz max logging), together with up to 128 isolated digital input channels and 128 isolated digital output channels.

    Ã The system is fully expandable with additional channels easily added by the customer.

    Ã Up to 32 additional PID Control loops can be run in addition to the standard
    dynamometer and throttle control loops. This allows control of other test-bed parameters such as Oil and Water Temperature, or Exhaust Back Pressure, etc..

    Ã Standard data logging rates from 1Hz to 1kHz on all channels to Trend Files.

    Ã Test Sequencer allows up to 1000 step set-points to be defined for
    dynamometer, throttle and up to thirty two other parameters, e.g. Water Temp.

    Ã Full alarm and shutdown protection on ALL channels.

    Ã Real-Time display of all monitored channels using on-screen dials, gauges and meters.

    Ã Second monitor supported from single PC.

    Ã Entire test can be viewed in Trend Display, which stores all of the monitored channels. The Trend Display is viewable whilst the test is running, and on second monitor if
    installed. Post test analysis using Trend Analyser.

    Ã Fully automatic or manual generation of Power Curves, with viewing in real-time as the Power Curve is plotted. Up to 2 channels can be viewed at any one time on the
    graph. Power off-line tool for Power Curve Analysis with multiple run overlays and multiple channels with run averaging.

    Ã Support for third party instruments through serial, IEEE and Ethernet interface, such as smoke meters, ASAP3 devices and emissions analysers. A full CAN interface is
    also supported, providing such things as throttle control using J1939 standards.

    Ã Additional support for full Vehicle Simulation including Gear Shift Simulation and running of European and Federal emissions cycles on motoring dynamometers, eg. AC or DC machines using Unico drive systems.

    Ã Open and fully documented COM Interface for programmers in Visual BASIC and C. This allows engineers total flexibility to write their own software interfaces and modules for DaTAQ-Pro.

    Ã MatLAB interface. This is a comprehensive programming interface for users of MatLAB.
