Chinese Porcelain Blue and White baluster jar, superbly potted, boldly and confidently painted in a spacious and dynamic composition of masterful balance in carefully controlled cobalt-blue with a broad band of six scrolling peonies, each bloom finely articulated with petals and leaves lightly incised to allow for subtle veining. Jingdezhen Ware, Yuan Dynasty, (1279-1368). High 28.5 cm, mouth D. 20.6 cm, middle D 34 cm and bottom D. 20 cm. The condition is perfect, no chip, no cracks and free from restoration.
