Absorption refrigerators and freezers for health centers
The RCW 42 perform a dual function: vaccine storage at the appropriate temperature on the one hand, and freezing of ice packs on the other. The equipment is designed for operation either by electricity or by gas, kerosene, depending on the local constraints. In this way, the units ensure that the Cold Chain will be maintained for vaccines even at remote vaccination centres. The RCW 42 EG (electricity – gas), the RCW 42 EK (electricity – kerosene) and the RCW 42 EKG (electricity – gas – kerosene) units are all fitted with thermostats. When the equipment operates on electricity, the thermostat control functions as a switch that either starts or cuts off the heating resistance of the refrigeration system. The evaporator plates positioned on the inside walls allow the preparation of ice cubes ore freezing ice packs.
